Natural Acid Reflux Remedies

My cousin has had acid reflux disease and she has been coughing with a lot of mucus. We recently found out that there is a connection between the mucus and acid reflux. Are there any natural remedies to help stop the mucus or better yet to clear it up? I appreciate any answers about natural remedies for acid reflux disease.
